As a volunteer, I have provided technical support to the Oregon Public Network teaching people how to get connected to the Internet, how to use UNIX, and how to make and publish Web pages. I have worked first as a volunteer to help get the Mountain Area Information Network off the ground, and then as the Webmaster and technical specialist. During this period I taught workshops throughout Western North Carolina at universities and community colleges on how to use MAIN, and how to make and publish Web pages.
Recently, I have been administering LANs and providing outsourced Information Technology services for several Asheville companies.
I am a volunteer for the following committees:
The Regional Civic Connectivity Commission's Y2K commission.
The Community Resource Network.
211 Information and Referral technology committee.
Eagle Market Street Development Corporation's Campus of Learners initiative.
